"NEW ITEM !!!" Sterling Silver "Troy, Silver is Money" Money Clip
So, you’re heading off to the LCS (local coin shop, for those outside the loop) to grab some shiny right? What a better way to hold your fiat (paper money) than a “TROY” Sterling Silver Money Clip! I’m just saying, If you have to carry paper money you may as well hold it with Silver. The pics tell it all, Silver is Money!!!
To make these pocket piece beauties, I first “lost wax” cast the face panel from .925 Sterling Silver. I remove them from the tree, hand file them to shape, tumble in non abrasive media, and give them a quick pre-polish. Then I silver solder them together and re anneal the assembly to a Brinell hardness of about 155 BHN to retain as much spring tension as possible with Silver. From there they get final polish and then I frost the background. A little acid etch and its all done!
Bear in mind that these are Silver and no matter what I do they can and will bend like any other Silver money clip.
